SPI Group launched the elit™ by Stolichnaya® brand in 2003, but recently identified an opportunity to introduce a premium gift pack into global travel and premium retailers - environments that are highly competitive.
Our brief was to hero the iconic bottle, making the most of its unusual shape in order to break through shelf clutter, then create luxury gift packaging that appeals to both vodka connoisseurs with disposable incomes and consumers new to the brand.
Using a combination of tin and injection moulding, we created a gift pack with a distinctive cut-out that follows the shape of the elit triangular branding device. Within the cut-out area sits a provocative moulding that’s shaped around the bottle inside the tin, hinting at its iconic shape and detailing. Soft touch varnishes and graduated finishes give the pack a premium and eye-catching aesthetic and ensure strong shelf standout in what is often a cluttered and competitive environment.
